The New Zealand Agricultural Climate Change Conference and associated meetings will be held from 28 February to 2 March 2023 at Te Papa in Wellington.

This premier event will gather together leaders from government, science, farming and the wider primary sector. It aims to showcase the latest research and policy developments and implementation actions being undertaken to reduce agricultural greenhouse gases in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

Conference sessions will cover the following topics: 

  • The latest global state of knowledge on climate change and what that means for international targets and New Zealand's domestic policy settings
  • Market drivers for climate action
  • Pricing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions
  • Implications of New Zealand's changing climate for the primary sector
  • The latest scientific developments in the search for mitigation solutions

Registration for the conference is free (although there is a charge for the conference dinner). Spaces at the conference are limited so register early to secure your spot.
